Let’s Review: Student-Created, Content-Based Games

Summary

Having students create games themselves to be used for content review in English language classrooms can be a fun and beneficial activity that gives students ownership and investment in the process of creating and also playing the games.  This article introduces an activity for a student-created, content-based activity to review material learned in a semester or unit.

Anikke Trier, Mukogawa U.S. Campus

Anikke Trier is an English language educator, currently teaching at Mukogawa U.S. Campus in Spokane, WA., but has also taught English language and English composition at other institutions in the Spokane area.  In addition to teaching in the U.S., Anikke also has taught English abroad in Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Japan. She is always trying to think of fun, useful, language-rich activities to do in her classroom to keep both her students and herself learning and engaged.  You may contact her at anikket@mukogawa.edu
